Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026
The short version: Rememberly has no account, no servers of its own, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. What you save stays on your devices and in your own iCloud. The developer cannot see your memories.
Who we are
Rememberly is made by Jayco Bea, an independent developer. Contact: jcobea.dev@gmail.com.
What Rememberly stores
The things you choose to save: memories, people, topics, promises, reminders, review history, game scores and settings. This data is stored:
- On your device, and
- In your private iCloud, if you're signed into iCloud, so it syncs across your own devices. Apple stores this data encrypted in your iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy. It is not visible to the developer.
Rememberly does not have servers of its own and does not send your data anywhere else.
Voice capture
When you capture by voice, speech is turned into text on your device using Apple's speech recognition. The microphone is only on while you're capturing, and the app always shows when it is. You can choose in Privacy & Data whether the audio recording is kept after transcription; recordings stay on the device that recorded them and are not synced.
On-device intelligence
On iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, Rememberly can split one capture into separate memories using Apple's on-device model. This runs entirely on your iPhone; nothing is sent to the cloud for processing. You can turn it off in Privacy & Data.
Shared partner space
If you create or join a shared space, the items you add to that space are stored in iCloud using Apple's CloudKit sharing and are visible to the people in the space. Nothing from your private memories is shared unless you add it to the space yourself. Anyone can leave the space at any time, and its creator can stop sharing it.
Location
Location is used only if you turn on place reminders or the "Before you see them" arrival brief. iOS watches for arrival at the places you chose; Rememberly does not keep a location history or send your location anywhere. Your home location, if you set one, is stored only on your device.
Calendar
If you turn on calendar briefs, Rememberly reads your calendar on your device to find events that include the people you care about. It never changes your calendar and does not store or send your events.
Notifications
Reminders, briefs and recaps are scheduled locally on your device.
Apple Watch
Captures you make on Apple Watch are sent directly to your paired iPhone, and a short summary of today is sent from your iPhone to your watch. This uses Apple's Watch Connectivity and does not pass through any other server.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Rememberly only learns whether a subscription is active; it never sees your payment details.
Analytics, ads and tracking
None. Rememberly contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code and does not use third-party SDKs that collect data.
